Maleek Jackson understands everything about suffering and strife. He was born in the heart of South Philadelphia and got engaged in a life of crime throughout his adolescent years. At the young age of 16, Maleek was sentenced to 8-16 years in the State Penitentiary. After spending 10 years of his life in jail, Maleek wanted to start all over. He found his passion for boxing and fitness in jail, and he determined to make his ambitions into a reality.

The odds were against him, but he didn't let that stop him. Maleek recognized the power of optimism and self-development. He spent his final five years in jail preparing a new life. In this inspirational and intimate memoir, Maleek speaks about his errors and his 10 years behind prison. He suffered numerous misfortunes throughout that decade, yet he transformed his sorrow into purpose. By refusing to give up, Maleek built a successful career in less than three years.

He is regarded the best personal trainer in the Philadelphia region. He teaches a multitude of municipal leaders, professionals, sportsmen, and entrepreneurs. He established a sponsorship program called "Trust the Process," where he prepares and conducts tutoring sessions for inner-city kids in the Philadelphia region. Maleek is living evidence that it's never too late to start anew. He turned his life around, and he thinks that you can also. Everyone makes errors, and everyone deserves a second chance. Maleek urges us to soar above reality and pursue our ambitions. It didn't take Maleek ten years in jail to realize that nothing is going to stop him now.
